Privacy Policy
A plain-language guide to how the original OnTheRice service handles account, usage and payment information.
Overview
OnTheRice uses AI to help create market reports. This policy explains what data the original account service collects. It also explains why we collect it and how users can control or delete it.
Information collected
We may collect account details, guest and recovery details, feedback, preferences, usage logs and security logs. We may also collect payment status and subscription details that users choose to provide.
How information is used
We use data to provide signals, saved choices, account recovery and balances. We also use it to stop fraud, improve the service and send updates that users choose.
Payments
OnTheRice does not store full payment-card details. Stripe handles web payments. Google Play Billing handles digital purchases on Android.
Camera permission
The camera opens only after a user starts a photo or scan action. It does not open in the background. We do not use it for ads, user profiles or face identification.
Retention and deletion
We keep account, payment, recovery and security records only as long as needed. These records help run the service, stop abuse and meet the law. Users can request deletion through the original app.
Security
Access limits, system checks and activity records protect balances, purchases and identity data. Account checks also make sure data belongs to the correct user.
Contact
Send privacy and deletion requests through the feedback page on OnTheRice.org.
