Measure the conversion, not just the promise

A useful reading habit is to ask for the conversion step. Projected data-centre investment must become financed, powered and usable capacity. A planned robot trial must become an operating deployment with measured results. Shared product data must produce an observable improvement before it can support a claim of greater efficiency.

New Insight

A useful reading habit is to ask for the conversion step. Projected data-centre investment must become financed, powered and usable capacity. A planned robot trial must become an operating deployment with measured results. Shared product data must produce an observable improvement before it can support a claim of greater efficiency.

That distinction also changes how large event totals are read. Malaysia’s MAHA report gives 4.3 million visitors through 5 September, nearly RM67 million in sales and 97 agreements worth more than RM10 billion. These are different measures. Agreement value is not realised investment, and visitor counts are not evidence of a return on spending.

The same discipline applies to a food-price forecast: an analyst’s account of supply pressure identifies a possible transmission path, not an observed reversal in every grocery bill. The new insight is a question to carry forward—what independent measurement would show that the proposed conversion has actually occurred?
