OTR Learning

Learn from the outcome.
Ask a better question.

What changed, what the evidence showed, and what to check next. Every lesson starts with a record we can return to.

Illustration of OTR’s rice characters studying together

The learning loop

Each new Signal starts with what came before.

Each recorded HIT and MISS automatically joins the learning record, with its evidence limits. New publishing refreshes those lessons and checks whether they support a change to the next estimate. The original published prediction stays fixed.

  1. 01

    Read the evidence

Keep the supplied wording, sources, direction and time window. A PDF is one possible source.

  2. 02

    Refresh OTR learning

Bring in recorded HIT and MISS results known at the review cutoff, including their evidence limits.

  3. 03

    Review the next call

Reviewers compare the new evidence with earlier lessons. The coordinating editor decides whether the new wording or direction should change.

  4. 04

    Review the probability

Use comparable earlier outcomes to adjust a new estimate when supported. Keep its original estimate and explain the change.

  5. 05

    Publish together

Keep the new call, current results and learning record consistent wherever they appear on OTR.

  6. 06

    Learn from the result

After an outcome review records a HIT or MISS, add it to learning automatically. Price checks still follow the outcome-review workflow after the deadline.

Missing historical data or a price quote does not stop a Signal from being published. Where an empirical estimate is unavailable, the card can show a reasoned, uncalibrated judgment or research pending. Source confidence is kept separate from outcome probability.

Recording a HIT or MISS starts the learning update automatically. Before a new forecast is locked, publishing refreshes the lessons and recalculates how much comparable past results influence its estimate. A missing update stays visible and does not stop publication.

Recorded HIT and MISS results become lessons for later calls. Their evidence limits stay visible. A correct direction does not prove the explanation behind it.

Matched endpoint evidence means the stored starting and final prices can reproduce the result. Other recorded results, including supplied-reference assessments, remain in learning with their limits and lower statistical weight. They are not silently discarded or relabelled as fully verified.

The current Signals score has 24 resolved calls and 89 pending calls. Pending calls stay outside the accuracy denominator. Earlier Signals records and the founder aggregate remain separately labelled history; neither is added to the current score.

A probability score also needs the probability recorded for that same call before its outcome. A directional HIT alone does not show that its percentage was accurate.

Learning snapshot checked 12 Oct 2026, 16:52 SGT. Only results known by that cutoff belong in this record.

Chainlink (LINK-USD): review the 24-hour hit

Evidence: Recorded result with evidence limits. The recorded HIT or MISS is retained, with its supplied reference or other limits. It is not presented as a fully reproduced price test.

The recorded bullish call was a HIT over its 24-hour window. A numerical return is unavailable; retain the recorded direction result only. This observation does not establish its proposed cause or a general win rate. This result has evidence limits and carries reduced statistical weight; its verification flags remain unchanged.

Evidence limits: The starting reference is retained, but its market observation is not independently verified.; The recorded endpoint is not independently verified.; The call uses its retained supplied clock; a verified native publication clock is unavailable.; The recorded result has not passed matched-endpoint reproduction.; Owner-supplied candle comparison: source bytes and arithmetic are retained, but endpoint and starting quote are not independently verified or matched to the original contract. Qualified indicative HIT requested by the owner. Approximately USD 13.28 was shown near 03:24 UTC, five seconds before the frozen deadline. Search corroborated the displayed number, but reopening returned an older cached page; an exact historical exchange candle and the displayed timestamp timezone were not independently v; No matching numerical return can be reproduced from the recorded prices; this result is direction-only evidence..

Next application: Recheck whether the same mechanism and timing apply; a prior hit alone is insufficient support for a new direction.

Weights update from later results

Automatic weight updates are ready. No later outcomes are available for comparing original and adjusted forecasts yet, so the starting balance remains in use.

Later outcomes used for weights
0
Past-results influence
1.000×

An influence of 1× is the starting balance. A higher value gives comparable past results more influence; a lower value gives the original research estimate more influence. This is the overall monitoring balance. Each new forecast uses its own balance from compatible time windows and outcome definitions. The evidence-quality labels keep their separate weights; this update does not turn limited evidence into verified prices.

Weights checked 12 Oct 2026, 16:52 SGT.

These updates do not establish better accuracy. Later outcomes continue to test whether the adjustments help.

No completed comparison of original and adjusted probabilities on later forecasts is recorded yet. Better accuracy has not yet been established.

Learning is refreshed before later publications. This is a recorded evidence update, not a claim that an AI model has retrained itself or that every new call will be better.

Lessons to carry forward

Read the evidence. Keep the context.

These review principles guide how we inspect signals. They are not a claim of improved prediction accuracy.

01

Keep the clocks separate

A source’s publication time, the period it measures, and the time OTR publishes a signal are different. A later retelling does not make an older event new.

What to check next

Check the dates before comparing two observations.

02

Compare matching quantities

Match the instrument, currency, unit and time window before calculating a change. A short recovery and a weaker daily return can both be true.

What to check next

Keep the original baseline and the stated deadline visible.

03

Look for independent evidence

Several reports may repeat the same announcement. Repetition can show distribution; it does not create several independent confirmations.

What to check next

Follow the original source and look for evidence that could contradict the claim.

04

Keep incomplete tests visible

A missing historical price is a gap in evidence. A pending prediction is waiting for its deadline or a verified outcome review. Neither establishes a successful outcome.

What to check next

Read the status and its explanation before counting a result.

05

Separate direction from explanation

A correct price direction does not prove the proposed cause. Timing, evidence quality and the explanation each need their own review.

What to check next

Ask which part of the reasoning held up, and which part remains uncertain.

06

Use lessons in the next call

Preserve the original claim, then record what changed and what should be checked next. A useful lesson guides future work without rewriting a locked prediction.

What to check next

Keep a record of the next application; claim improvement only when it is measured.

Follow the evidence

Learn from the recorded results.
